While applying for graduate studies do high school extracurriculars matter?

Is a phd sort of like masters and undergraduate in the sense that you have a list of courses to complete? For example phd is 4 years… is that 4 years of classes or 3 years of classes and 1 year of research with no classes

Please give your insights about the MDPI publisher. They claim it is not a predatory publisher, but they show similar characteristics to predatory journal model. As a personal policy I never published in MDPI journals. 🙏🏻

Hey man question, I’m active duty marine corps and will be commissioning as an officer soon. My family is always up and moving every 2-3 years. My wife is considering going for a Psy.D, however she doesn’t want a non apa school. Is it possible to do online school from a apa approved college and do her clinical work at the local hospital where we are? I would love some advice man.

I want to teach at a community college. The application says only a masters degree is required but in your opinion does that mean I may get overlooked? …… I asking because what if everyone else applying has a doctorate …although the app only says masters is required

Hey Dr. Singh, I just got accepted to the Clinical PsyD program at Alliant Los Angeles. Should I accept this? Would you say the school would allow me to work in most areas of psychology? Would it be a limiting factor? (I already know I don’t want to just be a therapist, lcsw, etc. Clin psych is my goal) I understand the price is high. What is your opinion ?

is there a way to influence their decision on scholarships during your interview? by maybe stating that you are a hard worker and resilient person becasue you have no financial help by the familiy, and that everyhting you you give 100%. kinda like showing my hard working skills and sliding a little thing about how financials are tough and that I am in need... how does that work?

Hi Dr Singh, I like your idea about asking for the handbook or finding a PDF online! Curious if you have an opinion on authoring/coauthoring book chapters during a masters degree? I was invited to co-author two book chapters related to my thesis which would be indexed, but I’m not sure if it would be better to focus that energy on other things in preparing PhD applications.

My first few tries and im crashing and burning but ill keep on practicing...a lot depends on this interview. I need prayers 😢 so fucking nervous. Please send me good vibes
